What Is This Training About?
This 6-hour training focuses on developing confidence and clarity in suicide risk assessment, intervention, and post-vention.
We explore:
Reducing fear and increasing clinical confidence
Understanding attitudes toward suicide and how they impact assessment
Prevention strategies
Crisis intervention frameworks
Post-vention and supporting those affected, including yourself
This training is about building steadiness in high-stakes moments
What Will I Walk Away With?
By the end of the training, you will:
Develop community-preferred language that reduces stigma and fear
Feel more confident asking direct questions about suicide
Understand how to differentiate levels of risk
Learn various risk assessment frameworks
Learn how to co-create thorough safety/support plans with clients
Understand how to respond to moments of crisis
Understand how to care for yourself after difficult cases
